Hi! Welcome to Will Sandwich. (Like the infamous "Jill Sandwich" line from Resident Evil) The things I post about are usually retro games from the 1990's and early 2000s. There’s something special about them I believe modern games have forgotten! They were challenging in ways modern games often aren’t, built with creativity that feels deeply human-crafted. I love digging into their quirks: the odd design choices, the rough edges, the moments where you can almost picture a small team scrambling to make it all work. There’s charm in games that weren’t focus-tested into uniformity. Why does this police station have elaborate puzzles? Why is the dialogue so weird? Who decided this was the solution? That’s the stuff I really love! If you grew up on modern games (like I did), exploring older titles can be a revelation. They’re not just "dated" they have a different kind of design philosophy.
